English
ComAsNas opens the folders on your computer (a Mac or a Windows PC) in the Files app on your iPhone and iPad. This policy covers the iPhone and iPad app, the Mac app, the Windows app, and the relay we operate. Files travel only between your own devices; we never see or keep their contents.
What we don't collect
No accounts, names, email addresses, contacts, location, or advertising identifiers. No analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
What stays on your devices
- Camera: used only to read the pairing QR code shown on your computer. Images are never saved or sent.
- Local network: used to find your computer on the same Wi‑Fi and connect to it directly.
- Connection details (computer address, certificate fingerprint, device keys) are stored only on your devices (iPhone and Mac Keychain; on Windows, an app folder only your account can access, with the certificate encrypted by DPAPI; and app storage).
- Router port mapping (UPnP): so you can connect directly from away, your computer asks your home router to forward a port. This request stays inside your home network.
Connecting from away (relay)
When your iPhone can't reach your computer directly, traffic passes through our relay on Cloudflare Workers. It is end-to-end encrypted (AES‑GCM) with keys only your iPhone and computer know, so the relay can't read it and never stores files. The relay handles only:
- Tunnel and device IDs: a random tunnel ID per computer and the computer's device ID, not linked to any name, email, or account. The tunnel's credential state (token serial numbers and similar) is kept while the tunnel is in use.
- Per-tunnel usage: each tunnel's daily request count and bytes relayed (to enforce the free usage limit), deleted after 90 days.
- Enrolment counters: to prevent abuse of free self-service enrolment of new computers, we count the day's total enrolments and enrolments per address key. The key is coarse — the IPv4 address or the first 64 bits (/64) of an IPv6 address — and the previous days' counts are deleted at the first enrolment after the UTC date changes. The same key is used for a per-minute rate limit (Cloudflare's rate limiting, not stored by us).
- Request logs: for each request, Cloudflare Workers Logs may record the request URL (including the random tunnel ID), method, time, outcome, and request metadata added by Cloudflare (the client IP address and the country/city derived from it). We use them only to fix outages and prevent abuse; they are deleted automatically after the Cloudflare Workers Logs retention period (3 days on the Workers Free plan, 7 days on Workers Paid). File contents and encryption keys are never logged.
- As the infrastructure provider, Cloudflare may process IP addresses and similar data for its own security and operations, under Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Sharing
We don't sell or share data. The relay runs on Cloudflare, whose privacy policy applies to its infrastructure.
Deleting
Settings → "Disconnect" in the app, or deleting the app, removes all connection details from the device. On the Mac, remove a device in the menu bar app's settings. When uninstalling the Windows app, choose to delete settings and pairing data to remove that PC's connection details (shared folders are never touched). Relay usage and enrolment records are deleted automatically after the periods above.
Children
The app is not directed to children.
