Use ComAsNas with Claude Code and Codex
Preview — not released yet
Paste one prompt into a Claude Code or Codex cloud session, and the agent can work with the files in the folders you share on your own Mac or Windows PC. If you allow it, it can also run commands on your Mac. Everything goes through the same end-to-end encrypted relay as the iPhone app, and you can cut it off at any time.
This page describes a preview build. npx comasnas will be available at launch; until then the commands below won't work for you.
What it does
- Read, write, move and rename files in your shared folders from a cloud coding session.
- Optionally run commands on your Mac (off by default, sandboxed when on).
- Search the shared folders in plain words, and ask the ComAsNas Assistant about your files.
Safety model
- Shared folders only
- A connection sees only the folders you chose to share. Paths outside them,
..tricks and symbolic links are refused. - One-use invite
- The invite in the prompt works once, for 10 minutes. Its secret code never travels in clear.
- Read-only option
- Files are read + write by default; you can give read-only access instead.
- Commands off by default
- When you turn them on, they run in a macOS sandbox that can't write outside your shared folders and temp folders. Full access is a separate, warned choice. Commands are Mac-only at first.
- Expires
- Connections expire after 30 days by default (1 or 7 days, or no expiry, if you choose).
- Revoke any time
- Disconnect any connection from the menu bar; its running commands stop. "Stop all" stops every running command.
- Audit log
- Every agent request and every command start and end is written to a log on your computer.
- Trash only
- Removing a file moves it to the Trash or Recycle Bin. Nothing is deleted outright.
Set up
On your computer: ComAsNas menu bar → Connect a cloud session… → choose the options → Copy prompt. The prompt is one sentence plus npx -y comasnas@latest connect comasnas-connect-v1:…. Then, once per cloud environment, allow the relay:
Claude Code (cloud)
- Open the environment's settings → Network access → Custom.
- Add
relay.comasnas.com. Keep "include default list" on. - Paste the prompt into the session. The agent runs the command, pairs with your computer and prints a short usage guide.
Codex (cloud)
- Open the environment's settings → agent internet access.
- Allow
relay.comasnas.com. - Paste the prompt into the task. The agent runs the command, pairs and prints the usage guide.
If the relay is blocked, comasnas connect prints these steps for the platform it detects and stops. ComAsNas never works around a platform's network allowlist. Setting names follow the platforms' settings as of October 2026 and may change.
Commands
What the agent can use after connecting (also printed by comasnas guide; add --json for machine-readable output). Paths are paths on your computer.

FAQ
What is sent where?
Between the cloud session and your computer, file data and commands go through relay.comasnas.com, end-to-end encrypted; the relay can't read them and stores no files. comasnas ask sends your request and the text of the files Claude chooses to read (inside the shared folders only) to Anthropic's Claude through ComAsNas's server, which doesn't store them, and only after you agree. comasnas find sends only the search sentence.
Is it available now?
No. It's a preview and isn't released yet. The Mac and Windows apps for the Files-app feature are available now on the download page.
Does it work with Windows?
File access, yes. Running commands is Mac-only at first.
How do I stop it?
Click Disconnect for that connection in the ComAsNas menu bar, or wait for it to expire. The agent gets "refused (revoked or expired)" on its next command.
Are you affiliated with Anthropic or OpenAI?
No. Claude and Claude Code are products of Anthropic; Codex is a product of OpenAI. ComAsNas is an independent app by Hael Song.
